WELCOME to your Gentle Wave Home Retreat. I am so happy that you found your way here and hope that this offering lands in between the pages of your life as nourishment and inspiration. 

The Gentle Wave Home Retreats are designed to offer you an opportunity to step into a gently guided safe space within your own home and in your own pace. In those retreats I combine most of the tools that have supported me on my decade long journey of self-exploration, wild reclamation of soul essence, and a relationship with myself that is founded in deep trust and untamed gentleness. 

The Home Retreat is meant to last about an hour but every part of it can also be done on its own. Please feel free to take what resonates with you and leave what doesn´t. More than anything I would love this to be a space for you of untamed permission, choosing you and what you need from moment to moment and connect to your own intuition. 

SETTING UP YOUR SPACE

Before you begin, I would like to invite you to set a little bit of time aside to set up your space and prepare all you might need. 

This Home Retreat includes writing and intuitive movement as well as gently guided meditation. So I would recommend to prepare a notebook and pen, wear comfortable clothes and create both a little comfortable niche for yourself with a mat, blanket and cushion and make sure that you have enough space to move freely and safely. I also love to have a glass of water or a cup of tea nearby and light a candle. 

I would also recommend to create some supportive boundaries so you can feel safe and undisturbed for the duration of the retreat. For example put your phone on airplane mode and let people around you know, so you can be as undisturbed and feel as free as possible. 

Please note that my words written and spoken are suggestions only, and that you are at all times solely responsible for your well-being (physical, mental or otherwise), your actions, and the choices and decisions you make.

SO LETS BEGIN

Lets open your Home Retreat with FREE FORM MOVEMENT, and connect to what is alive in you right in this moment, opening a doorway to listening to the voice of your body. For this track I invite you to bring in a sense of allowance and permission. Nothing particular to do, just slowly allowing your body to connect to the rhythm of the music and find a first gateway into your retreat by starting where your body organically wants to move. From there allow the movement to spread and ripple through your body. Just so you know, there is no way you can get this wrong. Follow what feels good, if that includes moving your body great, if that means just being still, lie down and listen to the song, perfect. Full permission to follow what feels good for you right in this moment. 

After this first step into opening the pathways of your body, I now invite you to make yourself comfortable and enjoy a short breath focused MEDITATION as a threshold into your free flow writing. It is meant to support you to step into an effortless relationship with your breath, connect you to your heartbeat and thereby both grounding and opening you into full presence. Preparing the soil for what you are awakening in this space today.

WRITING

The writing prompts are intended to offer you a supportive hand to step into dialogue with yourself on the page and open a door into FREE FLOW WRITING. I suggest to allow for at least 5 – 7 minutes for this. 

After opening your body through connecting to the music in whatever way felt good for you and rooting yourself into your inner landscape through the meditation, I invite you now to let the pen run over the page and start writing. This is intended to build a bridge between mind and body. Again there is no way to get this wrong, just follow whatever comes through for you, full permission to make no sense in any way. Just begin with the following words and see where they carry you …

I see

MOVEMENT

After opening both body and mind the following two songs are meant to offer space for: 

  • RELEASING tension and any sense of control or expectations. Anything that might be held in your body is allowed to be shaken lose. Just allow the music to carry you wherever you need to go. And if there is any resistance rising to move at all, know that is fine too, and that beginning to shake your body ever so slightly can be a great portal into opening the rivers of your body into movement. 
  • ENJOYING the sensual experience of moving your body. I recommend to start with a focus on the belly and from here allow the movement to ripple along your spine, into your hips and expand into your limbs. Connecting to the fiery flow of passion within. 

WRITING

The following free flow writing session is meant as a DEEPENING of the energy awakened through the dance. Allowing the mind to open alongside the body, offering the possibility to see and write from a refreshed and embodied vantage point. Again, I invite you to give yourself full permission to go wherever inspiration carries you and not feel restricted by any constrictions of making sense in a particular way. Just let your pen run wild on the page. For this I suggest to allow 10 -15 minutes.

MOVEMENT

The following two songs are meant to offer space for: 

  • GROUNDING your experience by focusing on your feet, and the connection to the ground beneath you. Even just giving yourself permission to walk through the space you are in (even if it is just small steps that are possible), eyes focused in front of you, connecting to a sense of direction and purpose can be a powerful way to connect to your inner compass. 
  • ALLOWING full expression in whatever way feels good for you in this moment, welcoming all parts of you home with a sense of celebration. Imagening yourself as a child just enjoying moving your body can be a great way to liberate yourself from any ideas or restrictions you might carry around how you should move or how it should look. 

 

WRITING

The following free flow writing session is meant to offer you a space where you get to dance with what you already know.  I truly invite you to let go of all restraints or ideas of what is possible here and choose the prompt that speaks the most to you. And if there is resistance of fear coming up around this exploration, just allow it to be there and take it with you onto the page. Again there is no way to get this wrong. Allowing yourself to show up exactly as you are, giving yourself the freedom to connect to what is inside with a playful sense of curiosity is already the success. Just let your pen run wild on the page. For this I suggest to allow 10 -15 minutes.
