WELCOME to your Gentle Wave Home Retreat. I am so happy that you found your way here and hope that this offering lands in between the pages of your life as nourishment and inspiration. 

The Gentle Wave Home Retreats are designed to offer you an opportunity to step into a gently guided safe space within your own home and in your own pace. In those retreats I combine most of the tools that have supported me on my decade long journey of self-exploration, wild reclamation of soul essence, and a relationship with myself that is founded in deep trust and untamed gentleness. 

The Home Retreat is meant to last about an hour but every part of it can also be done on its own. Please feel free to take what resonates with you and leave what doesn´t. More than anything I would love this to be a space for you of untamed permission, choosing you and what you need from moment to moment and connect to your own intuition. 

SETTING UP YOUR SPACE

Before you begin, I would like to invite you to set a little bit of time aside to set up your space and prepare all you might need. 

This Home Retreat includes writing and intuitive movement as well as gently guided meditation. So I would recommend to prepare a notebook and pen, wear comfortable clothes and create a little comfortable niche for yourself with a mat, blanket and cushion. I also love to have a glass of water or a cup of tea nearby and light a candle. 

I would also recommend to create some supportive boundaries so you can feel safe and undisturbed for the duration of the retreat. For example put your phone on airplane mode and let people around you know, so you  that you can be as undisturbed as possible. 

Please note that my words written and spoken are suggestions only, and that you are at all times solely responsible for your well-being (physical, mental or otherwise), your actions, and the choices and decisions you make.

SO LETS BEGIN

Lets begin with a short breath focused MEDITATION as a threshold into your Home Retreat. It is meant to support you to step into an effortless relationship with your breath, thereby both grounding and opening you into full presence. Preparing the soil for what you are awakening in this space today.

MOVEMENT

Lets step into FREE FORM MOVEMENT, and connect to what is alive in you right in this moment, and let the voice of your body inspire you. Just so you know, there is no way you can get this wrong. Follow what feels good, if that includes moving your body great, if that means just being still, lie down and listen to the song, perfect. Full permission to follow what feels good for you right in this moment. 

WRITING

The writing prompts are intended to offer you a supportive hand to step into dialogue with yourself on the page and open a door into FREE FLOW WRITING. I suggest to allow for at least 5 – 7 minutes for this. 

After opening your body through connecting to the music in whatever way felt good for you. This permission to freely let the pen run over the page is intended to build a bridge between mind and body. Again there is no way to get this wrong, just follow whatever comes through for you, full permission to make no sense in any way. Just begin with the following words and see where they carry you …

I feel 

MOVEMENT

After opening both body and mind the following two songs are meant to offer space for: 

  • INTEGRATING what you have opened up in your free flow writing session and adding expression through your body. In the first song an anchor of awareness would be following your breath along your spine and into your belly. 
  • GROUNDING your energy and connecting body and earth. For the second song, I suggest to bring your attention into your legs and breath into your feet, sensing into the contact points with the ground beneath you. 

WRITING

The following free flow writing session is meant as a DEEPENING. Again, I invite you to give yourself full permission to go wherever inspiration carries you and not feel restricted by any constrictions of making sense in a particular way. Just let your pen run wild on the page. For this I suggest to allow 10 -15 minutes.

MOVEMENT

Your Home Retreat is now slowly coming to a close. For this last free flow movement, I invite you to connect to a sense of WELCOMING YOURSELF HOME and bring in an element of rest and being held.
